History and background of MUSADA

Our Story

Our story began with a shared vision and a strong sense of community. In 2006, a group of dedicated individuals—led by Mr. Martin Ngengwe—gathered in his home in Laurel to lay the foundation for what would become Musada. United by a desire to give back to their roots and support each other, this small group took the first steps toward building a lasting organization. From that first meeting, an executive team was formed, and a monthly gathering tradition was born—held on the first Sunday of each month in members' homes, with hosting offered voluntarily. A constitution was drafted to guide the group’s mission and operations, solidifying the organization’s structure and values. What started as a modest gathering has since grown into a committed community focused on making a tangible difference, especially in Muyuka and beyond.

What began in 2006 as a humble gathering in Mr. Martin Ngengwe’s home quickly evolved into a purpose-driven organization rooted in unity, mutual support, and service. With a shared desire to give back to the Muyuka community and support each other in their journeys abroad, the founding members established Musada on a strong foundation of monthly meetings, collective responsibility, and voluntary participation. A constitution was drafted early on to define the organization’s purpose and ensure sustainability. These regular meetings—held on the first Sunday of every month in members’ homes—created not just a governance structure, but a genuine sense of family and belonging among members.

Over the years, Musada has marked several important milestones that reflect its growth and evolving identity. One such turning point was the adoption of uniforms, giving members a distinct and unified presence during social gatherings and community events. Beyond appearances, the organization built a reputation for solidarity—raising funds from within to support members in times of loss and standing alongside them during celebrations. These acts of kindness and shared joy strengthened the group’s internal bonds while reinforcing its founding principle of collective upliftment. Today, Musada remains a vibrant and compassionate community, steadfast in its mission to support both its members and the wider Muyuka Subdivision.
